1. Definitions

In these Terms & Conditions, the following terms carry the meanings set out below:

• "Cogwright" / "We" / "Us" / "Our" — the watch repair and restoration workshop operating at 184 Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand.
• "User" / "You" — any individual or entity accessing our website or engaging our services.
• "Service" — any watch repair, cleaning, case refinishing, or overhaul work carried out by Cogwright.
• "Timepiece" — any watch or clock submitted to Cogwright for assessment or work.
• "Work Order" — a written or verbal agreement to carry out a defined scope of work on a specific Timepiece.
• "Agreement" — these Terms & Conditions together with any applicable Work Order.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website, submitting an enquiry, or engaging our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

Our services are available to individuals aged 18 and over. By proceeding, you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement in your jurisdiction.

3. Service Description

Cogwright provides watch repair, cleaning, and restoration services at our Bangkok workshop. Our current service range includes:

• Routine Servicing & Cleaning — movement disassembly, ultrasonic component cleaning, lubrication, regulation, and gasket inspection (฿3,400)
• Case & Dial Refinishing — case polishing, crystal replacement, and dial detailing with a pre-work assessment (฿6,800)
• Complication & Heritage Overhaul — full overhaul of complex or vintage calibers, documented throughout (฿11,200)

All services are subject to a preliminary assessment. Cogwright reserves the right to adjust the scope or decline work if the Timepiece's condition makes a safe outcome unlikely or impossible to achieve within the original scope.

Services are available to customers in Thailand. International shipping enquiries may be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

4. User Responsibilities

Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate information when making an enquiry or submitting a Timepiece. Misrepresentation of a Timepiece's history or condition may affect the assessment and subsequent Work Order.

Acceptable Use of Website

When accessing this website, you agree not to:

• Introduce malware, viruses, or disruptive code
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its systems
• Use automated tools to scrape or copy content without permission
• Use the site in any manner that violates applicable Thai or international law

Ownership and Authority

By submitting a Timepiece for assessment or service, you confirm that you are the lawful owner or have explicit authority from the owner to authorise the requested work.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, layout, and design — is the property of Cogwright or its licensors and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and view this website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from any content on this site without our prior written consent.

Cogwright does not claim ownership of watch brands, trademarks, or caliber designations mentioned in a purely descriptive or informational context.

6. Pricing & Payment

Prices

All prices are displayed in Thai Baht (฿) and include applicable labour costs for the stated service scope. Prices are subject to change without prior notice, though any agreed Work Order price will be honoured.

Payment Methods

Accepted payment methods are confirmed at the time of booking. Payment is typically due upon collection of the Timepiece or as agreed in the Work Order.

Additional Costs

If during the course of work an unforeseen condition is discovered that requires additional parts or labour, Cogwright will contact you for approval before proceeding. No additional charges will be applied without your prior agreement.

Cancellation

If you wish to cancel a Work Order after work has commenced, costs incurred up to the point of cancellation may be charged. Timepieces will be returned in their assessed condition at the point of cancellation.

7. Service-Specific Terms

Pre-Work Assessment

For Case & Dial Refinishing and Complication & Heritage Overhaul services, a pre-work assessment is conducted and shared with the owner before work begins. You are invited to review and ask questions at this stage.

Timeline

Estimated turnaround times are provided as guidance only and may vary depending on parts availability, caliber complexity, or workshop scheduling. We will communicate proactively if timelines change.

Parts

Where original parts are unavailable, Cogwright will discuss suitable alternatives with the owner before proceeding. We do not use parts that, in our assessment, are not appropriate for the Timepiece in question.

Documentation

All work is recorded, and a written record of the service performed is provided to the owner upon completion.

Uncollected Timepieces

Timepieces not collected within 90 days of notification of completion may be subject to a storage fee. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before any such fee is applied.

8. Disclaimers

Our website and its content are provided on an informational basis. While we make every reasonable effort to ensure accuracy, we do not make representations as to the completeness or currency of information presented.

Cogwright's services are carried out with care and skill, but we cannot represent specific outcomes in advance given the variable nature of vintage and complex mechanical timepieces. All assessments reflect our professional judgement at the time of examination.

Cogwright is not responsible for pre-existing conditions in a Timepiece that become apparent during, or are exacerbated by, the ordinary process of disassembly and examination — where such conditions were not disclosed or observable prior to work commencing.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law, Cogwright's liability in connection with any Service or Work Order is limited to the amount paid for that specific service.

We shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of use or sentimental loss, arising out of or in connection with the services provided.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cogwright, its staff, and representatives from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising out of your breach of this Agreement, your misrepresentation regarding ownership or authority over a submitted Timepiece, or your unlawful use of our website.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate a Work Order arrangement by providing written notice. Where work has already commenced, the terms in Section 6 regarding cancellation apply.

Cogwright reserves the right to refuse service at its reasonable discretion, including but not limited to circumstances where accurate information has not been provided or where the requested work would, in our assessment, be detrimental to the Timepiece.

12. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. The courts of Bangkok shall have jurisdiction over any disputes arising from this Agreement.

Informal Resolution

We ask that you contact us directly in the first instance if you have a concern about our service. Most issues can be resolved through open discussion, and we welcome the opportunity to address your concerns before any formal process is initiated.

Mediation

Where informal resolution is not achievable, both parties agree to attempt mediation through a mutually agreed mediator before pursuing litigation.

13. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement — This Agreement, together with any Work Order, constitutes the entire understanding between the parties regarding the services described.
• Severability — If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
• Waiver — Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it in the future.
• Assignment — You may not assign your rights or obligations under this Agreement without our written consent.
• Notices — Notices may be sent by email to the addresses provided in this Agreement or on our website.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the revision date. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.

Continued use of our website or services after updated terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of those updates. If you do not agree with revised terms, please discontinue use of our website and contact us to discuss any outstanding service arrangements.
